Eli SomerJan 15, 20191 min readThe treatment of child with maladaptive daydreaming: New case study published Today we learned that The Brown University Child and adolescent Behaviour Letter has published a paper by Mandy Witkin describing a case study of a bright 14-year old girl with a rich fantasy life who had been diagnosed previously with various mental disorders, including schizophrenia. The author diagnosed her as suffering from maladaptive daydreaming and describes her therapruitic work with the child. We were please to learn from this paper, that the diagnosis was confirmed based on ICMDR's research and with the assessment tools we have developed. The author ends her paper saying: "The recognition of MD as a clinical concept has been a valuable aspect of treatment, and something that should be watched for in the future." #EliSomer #Casestudy
