A younger generation of researchers is now at the helm of our consortium

Updated: Jan 23, 2021

The International Consortium of Maladaptive Daydreaming Research (ICMDR) is around to announce it has appointed new scientific leadership. While I, Eli Somer, will be titled ICMDR founder and senior researcher, the academic leadership is handed over to an accomplished scientist: Dr. Nirit Soffer-Dudek, Director of The Consciousness of Psychopathology Lab at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. Nirit will be in charge of developing the vision for future research in our field of study and providing guidance to interested collaborators.

Dr. Melina West Rogers is an Australian postdoctoral Research Associate of

Psychological Sciences at the

University of Connecticut, USA. Dr. West Rogers has already published several important papers in the field of Maladaptive Daydreaming and will be dedicating her future research to investigating this condition. Melina assumed the role of ICMDR Executive Director. She will be in charge of developing academic communications and collaborations between interested scholars worldwide.

On behalf of all ICMDR researchers and research participants, I wish Drs. Soffer-Dudek and West Rogers best of luck!

Eli Somer
